Modulus Mob

Yep I would love to help compile all that info

Also, I have been contemplating a full refin and refret on my tbx but damn its not cheap

If I could get the darn stacked knob off and replaced with the new one I would post a proper photo with the all black hardware

Question: I replaced the schaller bridge with an identical black one and now there is a rattle when i hit the open a string with some force....cant seem to place where its happening on the bridge...any ideas on how to remedy>?

I kinda have the same problem. I think that in my case (I have Badass II bridge) the rattle is coming from the saddles... I just watched Scott's Bass Lessons' video about changing strings and he pointed out that it'd be smart to press the strings down into the saddles to create a good angle to prevent buzzing when playing open notes. The video is on YouTube.

Today I'm going to try out some DR lo-riders! Never used them before. I have the last 3-4 years been using GHS Flea Bass Boomers which are Nickel strings. I don't think I have ever tried a set of steels... What do you guys use on your mods - Nickels or Steels? Are Steels to bright or...?

i love my dr sunbeams. not many manufacturers make nickels with a light gauge (40-120). in a pinch, i dig on d'addario's.

in regards to the fingerboard question, i picked up a m-92-5 and the fingerboard also had a slight "grain" pattern to it.

i shot an email to geoff to chime in on the fingerboard question. hopefully we'll get a definite answer soon...

What's up with the relief adjustment system looking like this? Anyone who can explain that?

Wha Wha What?? Is that a Mod neck? Never seen one with a truss rod before. Well, the Genesis Models, but not Q's? Cool feature though. You would need a response from someone who has a Q newer than 1994. None of mine have it. Sorry. I would still assume it would work just like a regular truss rod, except it is on a Modulus

Hahaha! Well, truss rods have existed in Modulus Funk Unlimited/Flea basses since around year 2000. Nothing new there ;-) The thing is - to me the truss rod adjustment-hole-thingy looks a bit weird, maybe broken?
