NO .... There's no way any Modulus is worth that much ! And I own 1 and I wouldn't pay that much for it . I have a Alembic Series 1 and there's no way I would pay $ 18,000 for s new 1 !

Dang... I traded mine for a Lakland 55-94, about $2800... Oh well, love the Lakland, so can't complain about that.

There are a few sets (not mine) of Modulus Graphite bass strings on the 'bay- never seen this before. Are these new? Or NOS?

Also, there was a Genesis 5 bought on the 'bay a few weeks ago for $1061 that looks like the seller is trying to flip for $2195. Ha ha.

I almost bought that Q5 fret less for $2399 months ago , it's still there . There is also s guy selling a purple BCRich Mockingbird bass for $2399 that has been on there for like 3 years

I've been playing a theater gig with a drummer whom I've never played with. He noticed my bass had a graphite neck. We got to talking and it turns out his uncle is Geoff Gould. It was funny, I was telling him about his uncle.

did you check out that craigslist modulus up by san gabriel? looks decent. price is pretty fair.

The 1 in Lakewood ? Was it on LA's or Inland Empire ? I answered an ad on there [CL] a while back ,guy had 1 for $1600,told him I could come out the next day with cash ,he said great.Called him the next day to get directions,and havent heard from him since[6 months] The ad was down later the next day and have never seen it back on there. I got tired of calling the guy after about 4 calls.

headed to vegas for vacation next week and thought i'd peruse the c-list ads in l.a. to see if i needed to make a detour from the bay area.

it looks clean. can't see the condition of the back of the neck tho (my #1 thing to check).

if you do check it out, feel free to post your findings and opinions. and if you do buy it, PARTY FOUL!!!

i think i saw this back in the day on evilbay. nice that it has lineage but kinda pricey. maybe if it was the fretless modulus that alphonso played live with lou reed on 'walk on the wild side', then maybe...
