Yeah, that's a deal. I paid like $95 (I think- less than $100) for mine, and while I like my Mono Vertigo better, I don't like it 2x the price better.

I also got the Modulus OHSC for $155 shipped... probably should have haggled more, but oh well.

And someone bought the Genesis 5 that's been on Reverb for months... I thought it was overpriced at $1999, but they were taking offers. Hopefully someone got a good deal. I WILL have another one again one day.

Yes, all quantum cases are the same size and can house a 4, 5, or 6. I heard it right from Tony at planetbass bass when I bought one from him. So jump on it!

FWIW, I put my Q6 TBX in the Q5 ohsc for shipping when I traded it, and while the neck was a tight fit, it fit fine. I may have answered my own question.

shirt designs are basically complete....gotta do up some protos now

the method im using is unorthodox

They are relief printed whereas I carve out a block of wood or linoleum, then hand roll the ink on to the block and then burnish or press the design onto the shirt. Right now Im toying with 3 separate designs.

I'm excited to see them! Hopefully one of the designs has the 4M logo?

I had a luthier correct some fret buzz on a Steinberger L-2 (which is also a graphite neck w/o a truss rod) by resurfacing all the frets higher than where the buzz was occurring. Basically he contoured the tops of the upper frets so it would appear as if there were more relief in the neck than there actually was. It must have worked, because that was almost 30 years ago and that L-2 still plays like butter and hasn't required any more work since. Presumably -- and I realize that's the operative word -- the same sort of fret resurfacing could be done with your older Modulus neck.

I own a Cocobolo Topped Q5 and an early '80s Bassstar Fretless which I recently had reworked with a new 5A Quilt Maple Top (finished in clear orange), new pots and a new bridge. Loving the neck on this Bassstar - it's potato chip thin and incredibly fun to play with a fat, growly tone.... The Q5 kills too.
