Hey Ballin... I just pm'd you about your case. I will take it. I need a new resting place for a Q5.. Had to let my 1998 Genesis Trans blue go, but picked up a Q5 instead..
No pics, no bass 
While I had my Q5 up and about Saturday, I decided to clean it and change the strings. I was surprised to find (and you can clearly see it on the pic above) that my D string had come out of the ferrule in the bridge and was stuck in the slot. PITA to get out, but I did without damaging the bridge (I removed it from the bass to avoid scratching the finish). The new one is sitting fine, wonder how that happened?
Also got to see if the bridge was aluminum or brass- it is aluminum.

yep. I didn't want to put it out there until the deal actually went through. I always hate paying that much for a bass that is probably going to need a fretjob and board level since it doesn't have a truss rod. So I always look at them as costing another $250 to $300 with strings and everything

Both mine (91 and 93) had that bridge. I actually have a really great condition gold one and another that is kinda faded that I replaced with black ones
Looks like my Fretted 1998 Genesis 5'er will go to a new home and I get to keep both the new to me Q5 and my New to me Flight 4SP!! Now all I need to do is rehome my 1999 Genesis Fretless 5'er and pick up a Q5 fretless

Cool! I would have figured they'd be on the 15 serial #s by now. But they're still making basses, so no complaints!
Surprising in the specs they say that gotoh resolite tuners save 5oz. I have them on my Q5 (on there when I got it from another tb'er). I was going to swap 'em for hipshot ultralites as I like the look better, but maybe I'll leave 'em if they are THAT efficient...
Yea, the one on PB shows a 2014 serial number. I just wonder if it is still NOS?
