I believe that it is Chakte Kok, which some call Redheart

Attention Mobsters, check this out:

The 15% off coupon, Memorial Day sale, worked when I applied it in my cart.
Although tempted, I am not going to see what happens. Could be a great deal on new/old stock.

Tempting indeed, but does it actually exist?

The GC website gives my work computer problems, but with my iPhone it shows that the Tampa, FL store has one, so I emailed them to see. For a "new" quantum 5, that's a fair price, but is there any reason to get a "new" one? Is the warranty honored?

I just pulled the 1992 Q5 out of the box. What a disaster this bass is. The body is cracked all the way through where the jack screws into the body. The bass has been set down so hard on the strap button, it is sunk into the body. The neck has 4 gouges on the back of it. The fretboard is moldy.. Me think me is going to have to head into a Guitar Center tomorrow and discuss a full refund. This bass is maybe a $600 bass. Needs $300 for a fret job, $200 in neck repairs and setup, don't even know what is going on with the body if it is repairable or not. However I don't think, IMHO, it is worth the project. Way to much money needed to make this a good player

$3500 brand new plus a 15% discount.. Sounds like a good idea for a new one!

GC new... I remember one of the stores here had 2 of them, they were 7 years old each, still trying to sell them as "new" and they would not budge on the price... And they had scratches and dings- not NIB

This came from Utah and I am in WI.. I will be talking to GC headquarters Customer Service in a couple of hours to find out what can be done as far as discounts or returns. It is a shame. If this bass was $500 less, I would drop it off at my luthier and feel ok about it. Since he has worked on all of my Mod's and my guitarists Mod's (20 all together over the years), he is very much accustomed to my shenanigans with Modulus basses and guitars!
