Yea that's definitely a real q5, no doubt. Very likely a pawn shop seller. I ended up getting my vj4 fretless from just such an eBay pawnshop dealer. Pretty sweet price especially considering it had not a scratch or scuff on it, whatsoever. Dealers like that seem to be a consumer's best bet at getting a great modulus at a sweet price.

Maybe you ought to check with Tony at www.planetbass.com he owns the name and can give you insight what the future holds for Modulus Graphite.

Cash America is indeed a pawn shop chain. I saw 2 of them while out and about yesterday. I still think that bass looks legit though, pawn shop or no. If I had the $$$, I'd be in on it, but sadly the house needs the roof fixed more than I need a new bass, even if it is a sweet green Q5.

Haha you sound like me, man. I still don't have a car of my own cause I'm more invested in my basses. But truthfully, my gas is pretty gone by now, except for a q5. But pretty much all my immediate desires are quenched, I have a phenomenal amp rig, 3 lovely moddys (including a fretless), a spectacular ebmm sterling that has been with me 10 years, and a p-bass that I'll likely sell to get an American standard down the road.

...so maybe it's time I buy a moped...

yes they did. After everything was done, the manager from the Utah store asked me if there was anything else he could do for me. I told him I needed a new set of D'Addario XL-170-5's and he laughed and said have a good rest of the day and hung up. I don't think he took me seriously, but it didn't hurt to ask
