Modulus Mob

I have Sweetspot fretless with a phenolic board. Rounds may leave some very small lines or almost dust marks, but no damage or gouges after 28 years. Rounds sings like crazy, insane mwah. Best sounding fretless ever. Passively looking to move it, as I want to go to short scale as my hands and wrist have some damage. If interested, PM me. But here's a candy pic for everyone's enjoyment. Had the EMG setup, but I put in a Bart with A/P and bass treble. Way better to my ears, more organic and sensitive to dynamics. I got a three way Bart pickup for single coil, parallel, or series operation, but haven't installed it yet. I did put a three way Delano pickup in a M-92 and it worked great for all types of tones.

If you want the strings to dig into the board, then yes, it is totally ok.

D'Addario Nickel Half Rounds?

That's a great idea.

Play what sounds best to you. Roundwounds sound the best to me and just like any instrument, you will have to do maintenance time to time.
I had my Modulus Pleked and it sounds incredible. Using EB nickel roundwounds.

got some wooden knobs made for my mod! looks sick

does anyone use the c4 pedal with a quantum? how do you set your input, my bass seems super hot
Those knobs look great!

i’ve got a C4, haven’t tried it yet though. I’ve got EMG’s in my Q5 too, with the 18v BQC 3 band pre, and it is hot. I thought there’s a trim pot on it, will have to take a look.
