    Shop — Modulus Graphite

Scroll down. You can buy either the standard or the Res-O-lite tuners with the Modulus logo.

Excellent. I didn't realize they had changed so much from the original design, but they are definitely an option.

  7. The GB7 tuners are the old kind. Then they went to the GB707 which are a new style and then GB350 which look almost like the previous model but are the res-o-lites

Sweet, I eyed a similar one for a while but it was really not the right timing to pull the trigger. If you make a demo video I'm very curious

I don't have the capability for that right now, but I can say that this bass is absolutely amazing. I just got it off Reverb, maybe it was the same one.

Could be, it was listed in a local Tokyo shop, the price was good and i think it was sold oversea. But it’s really my favorite model of the Modulus i’ve looked at

Ah, didn't see that you're in Tokyo (amazing city!). Probably not the same one...but I highly recommend it.

query for those that may be in the know.

as you can see, there appears to be a 'crack' in the modulus neck (1994, pre-truss rod model).

has anyone here owned a modulus where this occurred / appeared? it doesn't look like a precursor to the fretboard separating from the neck. could just be superficial with no structural effect whatsoever.

a previous owner of this bass from a few years ago mentioned that the 'crack' was stable and that it basically looks worse than it appears.

so, what say you? much ado about nothing or a ticking time bomb? thanks! :)

Sure looks scary, especially on a neck through bass

Makes my old Polyester neck peeling issue look like a walk in the park. Best wishes.

  19. I believe the way it worked was that the “U” portion of the carbon fiber neck is attached to a “cap” which then has the fretboard attached to that piece. So it just appears that the cap has probably just separated a bit from the “U” channel. Gonna need more deetz though on the bass

Heh, maybe I should include a poll. “Would you buy this bass with this possible “crack “ in the neck? :)
