As geoff said, early 90s.
The all caps "MODULUS" logo started in '93 and is used all the way into the 2000s, so yours is '92 or older.
Posted elsewhere but ... whateves...... Sunday, outdoor New England gig.. temps in the 50's, needed a stable neck for the gig. Only one choice.
Absolutely. Out of 11 bases, 5 of them, high-end, my Quantum5 is the only one that never- and I mean never, needs retuning. Regardless of moving from one temperature extreme to the next.
Thread Drift: I spent three months playing in the society orchestra onboard a luxury cruise ship that was touring the Carribean and "Gold Coast" of Central America. My bass was an all-composite Steinberger L-2. The MD hated the sound of that bass, and always asked me what the point was.
But one of our regular gigs was an outdoor set mid-day during these tropical 90+ degree days in >70% humidity. After the first such performance the MD came up to me and said "Okay, I get it now. Our previous two bass players lasted half an hour before their wood necks became unplayable."

I was wondering if anyone here owns a 4 string Modulus Funk Persuasion (Modulus' Pbass so to speak)?
I was also wondering if anyone is interested in trading it for a 2001, 4 string Modulus Funk Unlimited in excellent condition?
The ideal situation for me would be if the Funk Persuasion is in very good condition, passive.

lately, i've seen quite a few ads for the peavey g bass and the owners are toting that the neck is made by modulus.
modulus (gould era) made the b-quad neck, i know. they didn't make the necks for the g basses tho right?

Hey Mod Mob.... I am wanting to throw this out to the group, I am on the hunt for a early 80's neck thru or F-hole Modulus to trade for my Alembic Epic V. I posted this in the for sale section as well as in the Alembic group, but I wanted to put this out there to you all.

I would think any decent wood worker could do it, the big thing is if you want it radiused or flat (i would think flat would be easier, and look better with the pickups).
there are a few builders on the interwebs that will make ramps to your specs. i went to ebay a few years ago and stumbled upon a builder who made ramps for jazz basses. he made an ebony ramp for me. probably around $20-$25 bucks.

What was that "center" previously, a 3rd pickup? If so, I'm with Geoff: Put another pickup in there!
