Considering how he left it with Sterling the first time, I'd say it'll be a cold day in Hell before you see a Flea signature MM bass.


Fender likes to give out signature models like they're melting ice cream cones and the freezer's broken. So, that's my guess.

Wow I never knew that.

EDIT: Im still a big Flea fan. He's still one of my favorite bassists.
I just find that story really interesting.

It was a business decision, and Sterling doesn't seem all that put out. I'm sure he knows that Flea has sold more EB instruments than all of his other endorsers combined. There are still guys buying Stingrays because of Flea.

I'm sure we will never see a Flea sig Stingray. EB is still getting the milk from that cow, so why buy it
