Maybe he'll rock the Wal again!
Doubt it. Where can you find a Wal these days anyway? Besides, he belongs to the Stingray.

I know one of the Modulus guys and while chatting he mentioned they were not happy with Flea's endorsement of the bass. This was right after that sig bass came out and the RHCP were on TV a bunch at the time and every time they were on TV, Flea was playing that vintage fender jazz.
Needless to say, they were not thrilled.
This was about 5 years ago, so I cannot comment on any current stuff, but just thought I would pass that along.
Could you guys name what bass he played in each album? Thats crazy? HOW!?Best recorded sound he ever had.Followed by the Alembic Epic, the Modulus, the Spector, then the Stingray, IMO.

Sure... it's all been documented from interviews, etc. It breaks down pretty much like this:
RHCP - Stingray
Freaky Styley / Uplift Mofo Party Plan / some of Mother's Milk - Spector
Rest of Mother's Milk - Stingray
BSSM - Wal (Stingray 5 also used on "If You Have To Ask")
One Hot Minute - Alembic Epic (apart from Stingray on "Aeroplane")
Californication, By The Way - Modulus
Stadium Arcadium - Modulus, Fender
You're right... just edited my post... but it was also used on "If You Have To Ask" - it's pretty easy to hear, it has a very different bass sound to almost all the rest of the album.I though a 5'er was used in Funky Monks
i went on the site YESTERDAY and it wasnt like this. this is a shock.Has anyone checked out the Modulus web page???
