It's an excellent display of technique. I doubt anyone defending her would listen to this in their car or while hanging out on the weekend. The music was created to showcase the technique, it is what it is.
Next year itll be another teenager blowing us away, no shortage of technical prodigies on pop instruments since the 1980s, and i guarantee you that you can find someone just as proficient and probably less attractive on YouTube right now.
Musicians keep on betting all their money on the instrument and not the song, look what it has done to guitar players...took them 20 years to get music back into their idiom and get rid of the sports.
