I'm looking to try one of these neoprene style straps. The Comfort strap is out. I tried one and even though its padded, the narrowness didn't help imo.

How about between the Mono Betty and Comfort Mega? Theres also a Dave Ellefson stap leather neoprene hybrid that looks nice but $$.

You mean Gruv Gear David Ellefson Recoil 3.5" strap? For $10 less, the Gruv Gear Solostrap Neo 4.0 was a clear choice for me. Not only cheaper, it's also wider.

I did consider the Mono Betty too for $10 less than the Solostrap. Mono has always been one of my favorite brands. I own 4 of their gigbags (vs. 1 from Gruv Gear). But, 3" wide just wasn't what I had in mind as I'd already owned other 3" straps.

And I got my Gruv Gear stuffs on seasonal sales. They could go down with 30% discount or something. I couldn't get the same discount on Mono's. So, I ended paying the Solostrap less than if I were to get the Betty.

I have three and like them just fine. They are a bit slippery though so if your bass has a balance issue it might not be the best choice. Also, if you play in warm weather in a suit you might get the sweaty shoulder/chest problem as the material is quite insulating.

Thank you. Slippery is a not starter. For instance I won't buy a leather strap unless is suede backed.

So its between the Mono, Kliq, and Solo Neo

I went through this recently and tried the following:
Comfort strap
Netotech Mega
Kliq Air Cell
Mono Betty

Comfort strap is too narrow like you said.

I didn't care for the Neotech at all. Too bouncy and didn't really seem to distribute weight as well as I had hoped.

Kliq was a little better but not really that comfortable either. Just OK.

I really like the Mono Betty but even the small size is just a tad too long for me which is unfortunate. I would have stuck with this one had that not been the case.

I probably would have tried the Gruv Gear strap but it is too long for me.

I've landed on the 4" Levy's leather and like them a lot. Better than anything else I've tried to date.

Thanks. Yes I think the Gruv Gear is in the top spot or I'm gonna stick with my leather
