Mono Vertigo Ultra - Anyone else using one?

Love my Mono Vertigo bags. I don't think the wheels are worth it. They don't seem that useful. I almost always use backpack mode or the handle. The bags are very light. If I don't cram the pocket full of stuff, I barely tell if my bass is inside or not. Also, snow. I think those little wheels wouldn't do well in our winter weather.
Do you mean they don’t work well (not designed well) or you prefer backpacking/carrying? I have some back problems and looking to make walking thru airports etc. more easier. But I could also see that if the wheels make you pull the bass at a weird angle, it wouldn’t be comfortable for your back either.

I don't have one with wheels. I'm just guessing for myself. I suppose the airport or a long event center walk might be aided by wheels, but goiong through the snow outside like we have here 5 months a year seemed like a no go.

I purchased an Ultra recently. I was also looking at the standard Verigo. I paid the extra, mainly for the structural differences. The Ultra has stiffer "plates" (for want of a better word), the zippers are more water resistant, and, it has a few more pockets..
I didn't think I would use the wheels, but since I have filled the pockets with 5 leads, 2 x folding stands, and other stuff, plus a full tick, the whole thing is weighty. I put the wheels on, and not comming off. ..

I use my Tick to hold my Mono pedalboard. I attached it to my non-ultra Vertigo and carried it through the airport and ship port on our cruise last year and wow was it heavy. I would have enjoyed having wheels, for sure. I rarely attach it to the bag now.
