Man, I love a good Monte Cristo. Best one I've had was in a Vegas casino restaurant, second best was in a hotel restaurant on Van Ness here in SF. But I can only convince myself to order one about once every two years or so. 
When I was in Atlanta, John Turner and his wife took me to the Marietta Diner. John suggested I try the diners take on the Monte Cristo. It was on a tortilla. I really liked it.

Best one I ever had was when playing the Kimbrook Inn in Kimberly, BC. Mmmmmm! Gotta go back someday!! That's also the gig where I proposed to my wife.

man, i really hope no one dies because they ate a monte cristo after reading through this thread.
What's the verdict? You didn't PM me with complaints...too busy eating?
trying it this saturday. may be too hard to type though with a steak in one hand and a stick in the other.
