Salut Martin,

Je suis allé faire un tour sur ton site. Wow, c'est vraiment bon ce que tu fais!

Hi,
I'm Eric. I'm from the south shore (la prairie). I actually only started playing bass 2 years ago and I'm having a blast.

I started off with rocksmith, just to play with my son but soon realized how much I loved it, ditched the game and started playing for real. Ended up taking a class for a few months and got interested in effects, at the time, my teacher suggested I come here and read up. I did! That was about a year ago and after learning so much and spending so much time playing arround with pedals I think I'm good for now. I have no plan on changing anything right now and I'm back to learning songs and having fun.

I mostly either play at home with friends or family (everyone in my family is a musician) or mess around with songs on youtube. I really like audioslave/muse

Cheers!
Eric

Oh, this is my board:

Never been there before. I checked the web site and the price seem really good.
They have a sunburst in stock with an 11 neck. It's perfect except that I hate sunburst!

I played the Sunburst that they have in stock many times. It feels perfect. They really have good prices, much better than Italmelodie. Not sure if Italmelodie even sells G&L anymore. But, DrumGuitarPlus definitely have better prices.

The store is not like the most high end boutique place ever, but they are nice people and will order stuff for you if you need it.

I did not see the new 210 yet but Steve's on the west island (their new crappy mini store near Sources) had the new 108 or 110, the ones that have a wedged shaped side so they can be used as a monitor. Maybe Steve's downtown will have the bigger models.

Thx.

These are the same I saw at Long and McQuade Laval (the store is right across the street from my workplace). But not the elusive 450-watt 210.... I hope it will be available up here.

Ah yeah, the old Italmelodie in Laval. Italmelodie in MTL used to have a somewhat ok selection of Ampeg, but it has been on a big decline. From what I can see on their website, Nantel is getting Orange amps and they list no ampegs anymore.

Maybe Archambault will have some in their better stores, maybe downtown? I am thinking about it and the stores that carry Ampeg are not great these days up here.

Maybe Media Musique will have them in stock at some point, would not hurt to call them?

Cool, thx :)

Just went Italmelodie on Jean-Talon, and you will definitely not find the new ampegs there. They had nothing ampeg related, and their bass section was very very very bleak. 25% of the basses they used to have, probably same for guitars. They had just very dated bass amps left. They really look like they are just burning through their old stock before they go out of business.

Sad to read. I used to love going there and bought a few acoustic guitars and amps from Claude, a gem of a man. Also bought a few effects. I almost went there early pm, but was short on time. How 's the FX section ?

The FX section still has some stuff, but it's real tiny. They had a lot of pedals on sale actually. But, really, it is looking like they are just selling out their old inventory. In the bass section, they even had some pretty old pre M9 models, like if they were rummaging through their basement, looking for stuff to put on display. There was one good amp deal, an Orange 200 Watt tube bass amp, for like 1600 instead of 2699. The whole store is bleak, the keyboard section is down to almost nothing. A couple of moogs, a few assorted old models. If I was a betting man, I'd say they would be a Long & Mcquade soon.
