Morbidly obese Jazz bass

My theory is that it's not a Fender, but someone threw a Fender decal on the headstock. Shouldn't the "contour body" logo be closer to the end of the headstock?

I don't know that Fender has ever used a fingerboard like that (the fret lines are pretty fat...and might that be purple heart?). The body just looks like it has come from a kit bass. Though I guess it's nice to be able to take a salad bowl with you to the gig, and put it back on the bass when done eating.

I'd guess that the only things worth anything on that instrument is the Badass bridge and the Schaller tuners. It's pretty ambitious to want $400 for that bass.
The "contour body" moved to the end of the headstock during '64. The tuners aren't period correct and there are no pics of the end of the neck or closeups of the fingerboard at the headstock so it's hard to be certain what this thing is. No strap button hole on the back of the headstock as there almost always is, but wouldn't surprise me if Fender forgot to install one occasionally. Could be a re-decaled '70s A width P-Bass neck. Fingerboard might be replaced too. Could be a non Fender neck too. The salad bowl's hysterical! What the hell drugs are some people on?

I wouldn't be surprised, but if it is, the decal job on the headstock is quite good, kinda hard for me to believe that the same person would have had anything to do with the "modification" on the back of the body. I think the at least neck may be from a genuine fender, the body could be from the same or a different Fender, or a it could easily be a copy.

EDIT: Something I just noticed is that there is no screw hole on the back of the headstock where the strap button would have been, maybe it was filled but it looks like it was never there to me.
I am 100% sure that is not a Fender neck... Fender never made a Jazz neck with 21 frets, squared off at the end of the fretboard with no marker on the 21st fret. The body could possibly be Fender of some kind I suppose but with an obviously faked neck I am suspicious.
