Another place blowing them out for $299. I don't REALLY need one, but at this price, I ordered one. Figured it would be fun to play with, possibly a good backup and if I don't need it, I can prob Ebay it for damn near what I paid for it...

Just got mine from zzounds and stripped the outer casing...went from 15.4 lbs down to 9.2 lbs naked. Couldn't pass it up at under 3 bills. Now I need to build some speakon cables so I can plug her up.
There not painted like that are they?
I rec'd a superfly from Zzounds and it has some inherent noise(s) to it.
With no instrument plugged in it produces a single coil 60hz type noise. As I turn the volume up I get a faint windstorm effect. If I turn the output volume up I get a faint high pitch plane engine type sound. None of theses annoyances are very loud, but annoying still. Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms?
If these issues are inherent to "digital" amps, its going back. If not, I suppose I'll try to exchange it.

The funny thing is I called music123 and tried to do a pricematch with zzounds two days ago and they flatly refused. Now they change their price...horrible customer service to...would not honor their low price guarantee. BTW, music123 got bought out by musiciansfriend.

Thanks for the heads up on the coupon! I figured this would pair well with the M-line Wizzy I just picked up. Should be a lot of fun!

Just keep in mind that the power amp setup is 2x250 stereo, you'll only be running one side with the Wizzy. You can't bridge this amp.
I know how it works. The Wizzy's are highly effecient 4 ohm cabs rated at 200 watts. Thats why I said it should be fun to pair it with the Superfly.
Okay, so for those who have played both--should I grab the Superfly for $300, or the Yamaha BBT-500 for $350?
