I can't get enough of this tone! Unfortunately, I still have just a little bit of GAS because I am going to get a Metroline Modern in addition to my Metro Express with VTC. These and my Jazz Basses are all I need.

Wouldn't that make it sound less modern? The only thing better than 1 is 2. You gonna put flats on one of the moderns? I want to try them on mine at some point. I think it could sound really cool!

You might find out that getting the Metroline might make you not want to to pickup your Metro Express version . But I could be wrong. Have you officially retired the Peavey ?
You know it would actually be disappointing if I bought a Metroline and I did not want to retire the Metro Express Modern in favor of the Metroline. The Peavey is retired. I think I will donate to my church or my kids' old high school. I think I will do the same with the Glarry.
My Japanese Metro was superior to my current Metro Express. I haven't played a German model but I have no doubt they are excellent. You know it would actually be disappointing if I bought a Metroline and I did not want to retire the Metro Express Modern in favor of the Metroline.

I still prefer the Japanese metros, but that's just me.My Japanese Metro was superior to my current Metro Express. I haven't played a German model but I have no doubt they are excellent.
I don't know if player is using Factory supplied strings but I believe Sadowsky's come with their Steel Rounds;I don't think so. It would sound like a modern with flatsAnd with chromes I bet it would be all that, just without the zing, not like flats on a passive P or a J.
But I have no idea, because I haven't tried it yet… it sounds so good just the way it is!
Great player and great tone, but this is a fake Sadowsky.
That's not an old Sadowsky. It's a fake. You can trust what I'm saying.Looks like an older one from 20+ years ago to me, old style pickups and the dip switch on the front.
