More truth from Dave Grohl

Probably so, which still is a moot point and doesn't negate Dave's idea for the project, which was to use analog tape for the recording process so that they'd have to deal with the limitations of that process with the hopes of getting a different result in the end, exposing what he called "the human element" of what they do as a collective band.

This is simple stuff folks. Seriously.

Makes sense and I can get with that. I just wanted to dispel any romantic notion going on here about analog vs digital. I do find it hard to imagine though that they didn't punch/clip/edit/move stuff once it landed digital in Protools.

Again, I agree with everything he said and applaud it.

i think u guys got it all wrong, he not bashing electronica or anything, he more refer to those producers or power that be that create albums like a assembling plant of a car factory and wrap it all up in fancy marketing, that the actually artist creating their own music, singing their own songs and writing their own words.

he is appealing to the musician and artist that actually create and pour out our hearts and minds into their music than has it produced in a factory and wrap it in pretty ribbons.

+1. Well put.
