I agree, but think everyone should implement the far superior method used in the G-Lab Wowee! Problems with the 105Q are that you cannot hold it heel down for more than a split second without it trying to switch off, and then there's the actual delay in it switching off. The Wowee is not spring loaded, but instead the whole pedal is pressure sensitive which operates a silent switching true bypass relay. Because the switching is so instant, you can easily use the effect for just a single note in a riff!

This is very true. Were recording our second EP right now and there's a part where I use wah and dirt and they are very pronounced parts. I'm having a tough time timing it just right so it opens and closes when I want it to. It was a B, took a few times, but I did get it. It was still a B haha
The best part is can leave the ls2 engaged and with the treadle up you can't hear any of the fuzz or wah tone unless I depress the treadle, so I don't have quickly or accurately turn it on or off, I can just leave it on all the time if I want, and if the powers of Cliff inspire me, I can just depress to get that "WHOAH" or WHEEEE" sound
My ls2 settings "A plus B mix".... "A" about 9:30, "B"(my clean signal) just past noon on Morley fuzz on vintage, intensity 3:00 volume at 9:00, and Wah volume at 3:00.... Now I loose zero bottom with this!!!
don't mean to quote myself, but running this through the ls2 solved any issues I had with timing it out right.... With the ls2 you can't tell its even on unless you depress the treadle...just saying
Mine arrived today and stacked with the Catalinbread SFT it Freaking Kills!
Just demoed it with a Tecamp Puma 900...FANTASTIC with that amp! It made such as contrast with the clear, bold Puma. I want to get both but going to wait maybe to try out the Mesa D-800 when it finally gets to Japan!
having owned both.....there is more range in the sweep of the CB wah then the Dual...

It's been a year since anyone has posted here, so I reckon people have developed more fully formed opinions about this pedal. I'd love to hear anyone's overall opinion of the Morley, specifically comparing it to the Dunlop 105Q in terms of function and durability more so than the sound.
Soundwise, how is the fuzz on the Morley pedal? Do people find it better to use the built in fuzz with the wah or a separate fuzz pedal?

I need a wah because my band wants to do some Metallica tunes. In just afraid of buying a pedal that sucks my tone

zombie bump for this pedal: so i just got one of them after being a tel ray user forever. I cant figure something out tho, there are two different versions so it seems. an optical (which i imagine is closer to the original) and a pot based. nowhere on any ads does anyone differentiate between the two. also the one i got has MORLEY written on the foot pedal, yet i see a bunch of others that have no writing on it, just black. so my question is: which one do i have with the writing on it, and has anyone tried both of them and compared the sounds? thanks guys!
The pot version is the European version, not sure why they have a different version for overseas. I think the ones with Morley written on them are just a newer version but same guts. If you pop it open and check the guts it’s easy to tell what kind you have.
