I get what you are saying. If that is what you are wanting then you will need a loop switcher. For me personally there are some songs I play with the band where I only use a lil bit of grit with chorus and some songs where I'm completely fuzzed out. I would probably only use this wah on songs where I leave the fuzz always on personally for convenience.
The two switches work separately. I like the sweep that this wah has and it has been awesome to play with so far. My only two complaints would be that I wish you could just step on/off the treadle to cut the wah on/off and I wish the fuzz had more tone shaping possibilities. I still haven't had the opportunity to play this at cranked volume.
Also: I thought Cliff used wah and fuzz on Call of Ktulu? Did I misunderstand the previous statement that the tribute band fella commented on?
cool, I'm sure I'll dig it and get used to it!! Yeah, I'm pretty sure cliff used the Morley on all of call of ktulu, I tried a bassballs before and I didn't like it much

I've found the trick to the BassBalls is using it on a bass with flats. I liked it much better than with a bass with rounds.

I used to love the SOVTEK version, the blue and black one. I had one years ago but I either left it somewhere or borrowed it out and never got it back. I wish I did still have it though, its a fun pedal. I really want this wah though.
oh yeah, I had yesterday off so I went to check my mail and saw a FedEx truck I got all excited and then he went to another house, what worries me is I've gotten other peoples ups/ FedEx packages.... Being how I am I would give to the rightful owner, hopefully they didn't mess up, but I really don't trust my neighbors or FedEx, but then again I have till the 17th to get it... I guess I always expect the worst so I'm never disappointed!!!
yeah man, that sovtek muff I traded you was much better than any other true (non clone)muff I played through, I'm not sure how they are different though.... It seems like the Russians are wizards with pedals or something, like the "correct sound" stuff, must be the vodka!!!! Hehehe
I received my Cliff Burton Wah yesterday. I only messed with it for about a half hour, but I have to say that its excellent! I found that it sounds best with the onboard fuzz as opposed to external overdrives.
Seems to retain low end pretty good.
I play thru an Ampeg SVT Heritage CL head and an Ampeg SVT Heritage 810. I tried it with both a Spector Euro with active EMGs and a Spector Euro with passive EMG GZRs. I also ran a Maxon CP9Pro + before the wah. I found that a compressor in front of the wah is required.
I had a vintage Morley Power Wah Boost and I think this wah sounds much closer to Cliffs tone.
Seems to retain low end pretty good.

Awesome!!! How did running a comp before help in your opinion, or, how did it sound without compression?
edit: about how big is this pedal, I'm still waiting on mine...
The compressor makes it sound fuller.
The pedal is a bit wider than a standard Morley wah.
Just got mine a bit ago, won't be able to try until Monday or Tuesday though...
It's cool. I generally only use a Darkglass B7K and VMT. I like just a bit of grit. I play mostly 80s and 90s metal.
same here, I have the b7k and like just a bit of grind, though I'm not playing metal right now unfortunately
You running the compressor before or after the wah in the chain? I still have yet to try it with my Diabolik. A local shop has a ZVEX Mastotron I might trade an older digitech pedal in for. Anybody used this with some reverb? I'd like to hear what kind of sounds this thing can make with a Mr. Black Supermoon added.
