+1 on Status. Great basses (previously owned a Series 2000, now have an S-2 Classic) and necks (got two on my J basses, one fretted one fretless). Truly excellent products of very high quality, nice people to deal with too. Recommended.

klorence - no, I don't think I've heard any negatives about Status either and I'd be surprised if I did based on my own experience.
