Mosquitos

Lot of bat populations dying off right now due to a fungal infection called white nose syndrome. It's pretty widespread, and has even cleared a large chunk of the local bat populations at the state park where I fish and kayak, according to the ranger I talk to over there. If you don't see a lot of bats in the area you live, that's likely why. So I really wouldn't count on them being around to help with the mosquito problem.

Wonderful, just when I thought I found the perfect ecologically sound solution this comes up. Im building one anyway on the outside chance it hasnt gotten to my neck of the woods yet. I will check with the DNR on this subject.

Careful of the ticks. My daughter has lyme disease and it is not pretty. Hard to diagnose, impossible to cure. She has had it for several years and has lost weight until she in nearly a skeleton. She is weak and in bed most of the time. When she is up, she mostly needs a wheel chair to get around. Her husband and my two granddaughters have to do everything for her.

Take my approach - To me, an outdoorsman is a man with a detached garage.

Get out. Cowboys don't even have garages.
