Most Disappointing purchase

Every cord I’ve ever bought that cost more than $5. The wires shorted or snapped off on those at least as fast as the Super Cheep ones for a few bucks or that I make myself. All cords suck but somehow mine just suck that little bit extra to ruin the fun.

I found a inexpensive brand of cable called “media cable” and they are nice. They are not super flexible ( I’d say medium ) but they make a right angle cord and I have to say they have been holding up. The thing you pay for with a expensive cable is the 1/4” plug and the quality of the plugs connection. I want a quality plug but my planet waves cable is stiff at the end and doesn’t do it for me. A lot of the brands you sell points like “oxygen free” or whatever technology they are peddling. Not to say I don’t enjoy a good cable but some of the prices are crazy !!!! I use to go for wireless live so never a problem ( I always say go UHF and not VHF ) live. In the end each to his own ;)

Any instruments that come out of the box and aren’t in more or less playable shape, usually go straight into the box again.
I have no problem doing a quick setup (string height/ intonation/ trust rod adjustment/ pickup height) but more I’m usually not bothering with.
I’ve had a Fender JB and the neck wouldn’t stay straight, every other day I had to re adjust the trust rod. On a different instrument, the pickup mounting screws were stripped.
That sorta stuff usually gets send straight back to the shop.

I totally agree. It would have been sent back immediately if I had not taken a chance and ordered it from a 3rd-tier shop (Musician's Friend) because my preferred shops were all out of stock. However, MF was going to charge me for shipping both ways (~ $230 US) and then make me wait 45 days for a refund. I would have lost more than half the cost of the bass, and I don't trust their word on their "policies", so I decided to fix it myself.

Mesa Boogie 400+. I had an Ampeg SVT4Pro for over a decade but wanted to try something different. Everyone always talks about how great TOOOOBZ are, so I took a chance. Could not for the life of me find a sound that I liked no matter how I tweaked it. Everything just seemed to lack definition and I could never find the sweet spot with the mids. I wanted desperately to love it, but it just wasn’t for me.

Honestly my most disappointing purchase was when I bought a brand new Honda Civic back in 2004, what a piece of crap that car was.
Same with me. Forgot what year mine was, but I was not feeling the Honda love everyone else talked about. Everything went on mine, including the transmission and the hatch back coming completely off. Only car I ever owned that I hated more was a Renault Alliance.

Dimarzio Area J's. I bought them from Dimarzio and when they arrived, one was a 4 string and one was a 5 string. That was on April 10th and I wasn't able to get them to contact me back until the 15th. I mailed the pickups back and still have not received replacements. I am disappointed.
