Guess they're pretty lame in todays standards, but to me those films were quite disturbing.

I second "Funny Games". Very disturbing. Makes me want to a pistol on me at all times.
Another good, well-told little ghost story with emotional ability is "The Devil's Backbone" set in the spanish civil war at an orphanage.

does anyone actually get david lynch movies? i'll admit that i'm a plebian and i don't get it, but when i read reviews to get some insight, it seems critics don't even know what they're about.

my disturbing movie: dancer in the dark. tho' i tend to get more freaked out by documentaries. 'iraq for sale' is more disturbing than any piece of fiction i've ever seen.

I'm a huge David Lynch fan. PM and we'll set up a movie date.

Every moment of every scene in Brazil was designed to create and then reinforce, in ever more subtle ways, the notion that society is pointless and pathetic.

The happy ending is when the hero loses his mind.


But yeah, it sure was a good movie.
