Most Elegant Bass That You've Seen?

Imho basses can also be painted and elegant. I think my Maruszczyk Frog 4p headless is colorful, plain, simple and elegant at the same time. 
Stradi in Poland makes some extremely elegant instruments too.

'Puke tops' have been 'hip' for quite some time now.I'm not knocking any one particular bass here. They're all beautiful, especially in the eyes of their masters, right? But why do so many of the new foncy, expensive basses look like someone threw brown or yellow or black mud on them? What's with all this 'splatter' effect stuff? Don't much like it myself; these bass designs only look to me as if someone dropped their bass in a swamp somewhere and forgot to wipe it clean... (Hey wait, maybe that's the effect they're supposed to give??)

Yes. My idea of elegance is the USA Fender Geddy Lee, also. I don't own one, but always have thought they were synonymous with classiness.

The Spector NS-2 owned by @BritBass 2 has the most elegant and gorgeous top I’ve ever seen. I lusted (still do) after that bass for years. Spector even used it as the model for their strings:
When I first saw Spectors I really didn't like the looks of them. The bodies just weren't quite shaped right. Now that I'm used to their shape though... Yeah, I get it. Very lust worthy basses, especially that one!
Tough to beat this one I used to own. I still have the 6 string version.
I think this Sukop 5 string with Spalted Maple Burl is beautiful!!

I think it's true elegance. It's simplicity without becoming pedestrian. It's understated, not overdone. The lines and overall design are modern and yet are an homage to the history of the classical instrument. There's nothing that's out of place and there's nothing wasted. Some basses are really nice, and some are indeed beautiful. Some basses are just utilitarian, run-of-the-mill affairs that frankly, do not fit the criteria. But this design, to me, is one of the few that really espouses grace, poise, and class. This is true elegance.
The entire Stradi family of basses is lovely. If I were stupid rich, I would never consider buying an electric bass....unless it was a Stradi.
