Most Elegant Bass That You've Seen?

Still collecting some ideas for a custom bass and was wondering what some of you consider to be the most beautiful, or some of the most beautiful basses that you've ever seen. This is purely subjective, so anything goes in my book. Share anything that comes to mind! :)

What got me thinking about this was this Elrick bass (there are actually two out there like the one below at the moment) which, totally blew me away. Such beautiful inlay work had me stepping back to think about what I want my bass to look like in the future.

I love this Squier.

No. LeFay offers more extravagant (and expensive) designs (think Midas), but still Singer, Waran etc. are absolutely desirable instruments.

Typo alert... I meat to say 'not' too far off...
I am talking about the specific one I posted a picture of.
Yes; Not all Lefay basses look elegant to me. Yes, I agree that what Reiner and Meik make are highly desireable instruments!
I can't think of anyone building higher quality basses.

do you happen to have soundclips of this one you could share?

Not many yet, but this is with the bridge pickup only (single coil)

I'll make many more videos with it in the future so feel free to subscribe if you like my videos

And with the bridge and the neck pickup (like a Jazz Bass 60)

I also done some recordings with it that unfortunately I cannot share in public but it fills those frequencies in the mix quite better than my Foderas!

That first Dingwall...wow!!

Totally!!!

I can see this one in a modern gaming room, I'm not even a gamer and I almost want to make a gaming room just to get that beauty! :D

Enjoy your quest and post pics along the way!

Elaborate and ornate doesn’t equate to elegance for me. What I’m seeing is a lot of gaudy over-the-top sculpture. To me elegance is graceful simplicity in design that is fit for purpose, and functions as intended with a minimum of fuss.View attachment 4220220

Perception is a funny thing. To me a big swath of plastic tort is the gaudiest least elegant accessory imaginable, save the ashtray. Not that there's anything wrong with that, seriously. ;)

someone else mentioned them, and I agree. I feel Adamovic makes some beautiful basses.
I've always been a huge fan of Adamovic. Have been keeping up with his work for a while now, but he has really come out with some beautiful and unique instruments in the last couple of years. I was actually watching this particular bass on John Fox's store, but it sold recently. Too bad!
