Most obscure covers your band plays

This is not an obscure tune; but, nobody else around here plays this one. I am always amazed at how it gets the people of all ages up and dancing and singing along. We do put a little more oomph into the song though.

We don't do obscure covers, as we don't see the point.

This. We played King's X - Groove Machine ONCE. Guitar Player from one of my other bands at intermission: "Why did you open with an original?"

I used to be in a duo with an acoustic finger style guitarist. The playlist was 99% originals but we usually ended the first set with "Water Song" by Hot Tuna. Only the HT fans knew it was a cover.

In the same vein, I was in a trio a couple of years ago we did "Big Bottom" Spinal Tap

I have a problem with "Big Bottoms"... It just comes out of my amp whenever a big girl walks in the bar... don't do it on purpose, it just happens... though sometimes it comes out as "fat bottomed girls" ( my 2nd favorite Queen song after "tie your mother down" which has the nasty, sleaziest guitar solo ever...)

always gets a laugh from the band, if not the audience...

Manic Depression is my second favorite JHE song to play (after "All Along the Watchtower", and yes I know Dylan wrote it but Jimi perfected it and made it the greatest singe song of all time... I won't even argue this, it is THE GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME... period!)

In one of my bands we play mostly blues, so they're almost all obscure covers. But there's one by Howlin' Wolf called "Built For Comfort" we liked enough to name our band after.
