I don't think anybody has ever heard a complete song by "The Mothman". Legend has it that the first (and only) note struck on "The Mothman" was indeed the brown note. Mythbusters tried to recreate this, but was a no go.

Other mysteries attributed to "The Mothman" bass include the underwater Bloop heard in the 90's.

The Mothman is about 4 minutes from my house, if you are really serious about buying it I would go and check it out for you. But I don't want to bug the guy to try out the bass unless you are really serious about purchasing.
