Mothman Rises from the Ashes....Again!

This thread is as awesome as that bass is huge!

Yes, it's also evil, hilarious, sinister, mysterious - but come on - that thing is HUGE!

Even if I did have a priest who lived next door to protect me - I just don't have a wall big and strong enough to hang that thing up! An lord knows, I don't think anyone is getting a good night's sleep with that thing lurking under their bed.....

I talked to him a bit tonight seeing if I could find some sort of trade value
If you find him a pc88 or something comparable with weighted keys he'll pay the difference.
As for cash he won't go lower than $500
It was made by a luthier (evil wizard) in Ohio
I commented that it looked like the misfits and it would be difficult to play unless it was really low.
He said he usually propped his foot on a stool and then put it on his leg.
He also said it was more of a conversation piece and that he has gotten rid of 20 basses recently.

So.... And here's where everyone can post pictures
What do you think the bass brothers of mothman look like?

Tal done got dirty on us...

I'm sure the brothers of the mothman look like lesser demons, sitting on the outer rungs of hell whilest the moth himself rules the brimstone realm from it's burning core.

Where in MD is the Moth; Westminster? We should organize a [DEL]dark ceremony[/DEL] get-together for DC/MD TB'ers to see, photograph, and test the mothman. If it sounds good or has good detail finish, we could make sure it gets a caring home for the price the seller wants.

What did He has about the infamous model?

BTW: I love the Tal pic

How's this:
We get $20 bucks from 25 TB'rs = $500
$20 gets you 4 numbers out of all the 100 two digit variables between 00-99
But first the 25 people would pick a truly random method that produces a number we can all see and verify like a lotto ball (do they do a 00-99 ball in MD?) then that person pays shipping.
If we get 25 people that confirm
Then I will call dude to let him know we are buying it before a dime is collected.
We'll figure that out later among the 25 maybe gift payments to me or quad so there are no fees?
I know we could roll a 100 sided die d&d style
(Centrahedron=a band I'm in and hopefully playing this bass in)
But I want it where all numbers are equal in probability and verifiability.
Because the dark forces of this bass might be attracted to the newborn in my home causing any number I have to come up and I don't wantbto be acussed of rigging this game.

Example post:

I am willing to join the "Legion of the Mothmen"
I profer my $20 knowing that wielding this unholy bass
could cause my viscera to catch fire.
I am Mothman #1
so my numbers shall be 00-01-02-03

I won't be on for a while I'm going to the hospital to pickup my new baby.
I really hope I don't see any credits scrolling by as I'm driving because then I know I'm in the movie "Curse of the Mothman"

Be ridiculous!

OMG
Man Congratulations...Thats the coolest.
Sorry to derail the thread, but that is one of the best feelings in the world.

On a side note...I would chipin to the lotto idea.
I was actually going to suggest to Fred (Quadzilla) if He was up for doing something like this.
