Moved into a house - Time for a real amp!

Like the title says, I finally moved out of my apartment into a house. I'm not a gigging musician but I would like a real rig for playing, recording that could keep up with a drummer if need be.

I prefer a head + cab setup. No budget yet, but I have an MIA jazz bass that could help me fund a decent purchase.

Here what I was thinking for a starting point. 2x10 cab and 350ish watt head.
I mostly listen and play fingerstyle funk and slap on my stingray and play oldies on my pbass with flats.

I have no experience with real amps besides my BA-108 practice amp.
I usually go direct into my apollo twin or through my Tone Hammer D.I.

Virtually, I tend to use either the UAD Ampeg SVT plug for classics and the Eden W800 for modern tones.

What do you guys recommend!

If you like the Tone Hammer a TH-350 would be an obvious choice and a single 1x12 or 2x10 cab is a decent match for the occasional drummer.
We’re in the golden era of affordable bass rigs and there are choices galore in an around $1000.00.
You will hopefully get lots of good suggestions here.

Great to have a nice place to live and play. Keep in mind that bass travels and you won’t be immune from disturbing the neighbours. Check out this thread.

Please help me keep the lows in my own house

I know you said you prefer a head/cab rig, bat the BA-210V2 is a solid amp amp ample to play with a drummer. If you play live and need a bit more you can add another 2x10 to it to get 450W and you are already familiar with the controls since you have a BA-108. You probably won't need the extension cabinet though. I gigged with bands live with 2 guitars and drums using an older BA-115HPT which was 220W I believe which is a bit less than the BA-210V2 without the extension cabinet. And it wont break the bank either.

You are going to have to try out a lot of amps to find what suits you, no recommendation is a bad recommendation. One suggestion though- trying many and spending a bit more once, as opposed to settling for something you will flip and upgrade, is better in the long run.
Guess I'll throw in my preference- after too much back and forth $$, I've settled on Aguilar DB 1X12 cabs- I have a pair, but have successfully gigged with a single (the only single 12 I've ever been happy live with, out of the many I've tried) paired with a Mesa WD800. The Aggies have a super solid bottom, are promoted to satisfy old school sound lovers, but definitely capable of modern hi-fi sounds. The Mesa is in a class of its' own.... if it's your flavor, there's nothing like it. Also a chameleon for both old school and hi-fi sounds.
