Wow! You never know who's taking pics of you at NAMM, huh? LOL That's the great gospel bassist Joel Smith, Sam from Michigan (I think), and me sitting down. I had just finished messing around on Sam's bass which is the ash/walnut 6-string he's playing in the pic.

to quote Monty Python, a light coat of epoxy, followed by a very light coat of some sort of catelyzed urethane. It allows the wood to breathe, and is at least partially responsible for the tremendous top end and organic, acoustic sound that MTD's get.
