Update - I've come up with a solution: using a BDDI as an always-on pedal to add some dirt and upper harmonics to the tone. That, and some extreme EQ shaping on the TC head itself. I CUT whatever I don't need, and the problem is pretty much solved! I'm enjoying my sound and the FX that the Toneprint app provides.
