Multi-Scale

This is an incredibly narrow view of the vast number of reasons people choose to play X, Y, or Z bass.

So this thread had me pull my Ehb out of the bag. It's been in the reserves since I pulled the East pre out and the tonal difference was very upsetting. I did some tinkering and was able to get more umph out of it and qith the help of some pedals regained a pleasing to me sound.
Did some A/B with my 35" four string sandberg vs the EHB 35-33. Back to back licks and runs standing and sitting. The multi-scale is easier to play everywhere. Less unnatural stretching, effortless to use the pinky and land in theb right place. The EHB just plays faster. And I still feel a 4 banger multi-scale 34-32 with more traditional design would be a very hot item.
For the drop tuner guys my ESP AP-5 34" B string is proof for me that the sum of parts for a great B is more important than having 37"s.

I haven’t read all the posts, but one thing I would suggest for a Cirrus Multiscale would be to stick with neck-through construction. Of all the non-boutique multiscales out there, I think only the Cort is neck-through, and that’s a single-cut acquired taste.

Hey Fred,

A 6 string American Made Cirrus with Bubinga or walnut options would be really awesome. Possibly a couple high end pre amp options to go along side this?
