Music Go Round deals

I wouldn't buy anything online from the crooks at the MGR in Fort Worth. I bought a bass that "had no issues" and I received a bass with mangled frets. Sure, they except returns but minus the $120 for shipping both ways. These guys are despicable criminals, they concealed the damage and misrepresented its condition and did nothing to rectify the problem. No apology, nothing. The lowest of the low. Complete slime. From what I hear this is pretty much how they all operate.
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. However, this is definitely not "how they all operate." I do frequent business with the MGR in Duluth, MN and every employee of the store is an outstanding individual. They have all treated me well and will do whatever they can to help a customer out. I've personally witnessed them selling lower priced items over higher priced items because they would better suit the customer. I've personally witnessed them fixing customer instruments and doing little setup steps at no charge just to help a customer out. (Obviously not a full refret or anything like that, ha!) I've got a buddy who goes to the store in Burnsville, MN and he always says good things about that store.

The Music Go Round in Greenfield, WI has a TBC/The Bass Company 5 string with dual soapbars for $219.99. Even with the $70 shipping and handling charge, this seems like a pretty good deal, as the states it has been restrung with a new set of strings. These were all the rage on here while they were in production, and they don't come up on the used market very often.

As I mentioned, I purchased it online. If you want to return a broken item, you're stuck with astronomical shipping charges even if it was misrepresented. That's the scam. If I was able to look at the bass or if accurate photos were posted or if the damage was mentioned when I spoke to the manager on the phone prior to purchase, I would not have bought it. Sorry for the confusion, I was never talking about an in-store experience.
