And honestly, I only really noticed it when I read other people mentioning it ... it doesn't bother me at all.

I certainly wouldn't mind if they offered it in two body sizes - that would be really cool, actually, because it's a wonderful instrument and I'd love for people who don't like the small body to still be able to enjoy this bass - but I'd hate to lose this version.

I'm right there with ya. I like the weight and few basses are this light with such good sustain, in my experience.

This bass is so good that I just bought a second one. My first is coral red/rosewood. Just picked up a white/maple for about $1000 less (Canadian). I just couldn't pass up another at this price. It's the first bass I've ever owned two of.

I also ordered some pickguards from Pickguard Planet. Both the vintage pearl white and the black pearl. I'm going to see which one I like best on the coral red. Unfortunately they somehow shipped back to the dealer, so I'll have to wait another week.

Think I might keep the mint on white. Looks good online, but I'll see when I get it in person. Super stoked.

I got to play my black rosewood Caprice this past Saturday at a rock venue where I used two 4x10 cabs and the tone was so sweet. What fun it is to have all the tone variations by using just the tone and pickup knobs and playing technique. What a great instrument.

Got the vintage pearl pickguard from Chandler / Pickguard Planet, and put it on today. Love it!

I agree! I'm excited for the five as well. One thing to remember though is that the five string Caprice will most likely have the narrower spacing like a Stingray five. I'm not sure what the spacing is on the Jazz fives?

I really like the sparkle white pickguard - I've got one on my blue Lull and it looks so cool under the stagelights!

I love my Caprice (burst) - I agree it's very inspirational to play and the neck is just sooooo tasty - I adore its feel and the yellowed/aged color is to die for. Wide range of tones and so many literally have me grinning!

Looking forward to trying it out live at the end of the month, seeing how it sits in a loud rock mix.
