Music Man Stingray 5 stolen (San Francisco)

Hi there

Our tourbus got broken yesterday night and my very, very loved MUSIC MAN STING RAY 5 got stolen!

Please keep your eyes open if you are searching for 2nd hand gear and let me know if you see a bass like this:

Music Man Sting Ray 5
black, 5 strings, handpaintigs on front (3 eyed smiley and flowerstructural design near the knobs and the pick up, pick up itself is painted red-orange).
slashed finish on the back. you can see wood at some places. on the front it has some dots in the finish. the connection between strap and body is typical music man on the left hand side and fast lock on the right hand side. in back of head it has handwritten "Elektrik Groove" - in kyrillian letters. Looks symilar like "EAEKTPK TPYYB". the head is bound by an orange shoelace.

if you see a bass like this please drop a line! (maybe it s modified now?)

if that leads to help: it got stolen in front of thee parkside (17th/wisconcin s.fransisco) around 11.45pm yesterday.

Sorry to hear about your bass, man!

I don't know many places in SF, but I would probably consider calling Rocker Guitars there and let them know, in case somebody comes in trying to sell it. Also, if you need an immediate replacement, the last time I was there they did have a new, gold SR5 H for sale for considerably below suggested retail. I played it a couple of times and liked it enough that I bought my own SR5 (used, from the Classifieds here) a couple of weeks ago.

Post what happened on the EBMM website too. A lot of good guys over there who will also keep an eye out for you. Also, what was the serial number?
