I slap like crazy and I've never had any problem with my 2000 StingRay.

That's because your 2000 Stingray already has an updated bridge.

Look at the photos of pre-eb Stingrays and early 90s ones. Look at the bridge and the string alignment - they don't go straight over the saddles. Flea complained that he would knock the strings off the saddles because he played aggressively. Hence the updated "Flea bridge", EBMM listened to him and they redesigned the bridge so that the strings go straight over the saddles.

I'd suggest you check out musicmanbass.global site if you wanna read about various changes that happened to Stingray basses over the years.

Me too! And from what I've seen, pics on the internet just don't do the bass justice. It's really hard to capture the true sparkliness of the bass.

Indeed. My girlfriend is SUPER into nail art and has a ton of holo/glitter and wants to photograph this in different ways to capture the glitteriness of it.
