Gorgeous Vintage Sunburst! My first Stingray was an HH version of that but with a tort pickguard. Here's an idea of what yours will look like with the new pickguard on it:
It was a heavy beast of a bass as well, but I loved it. The only reason I sold it was because the Stingray 5HH that replaced it (my 2007 Honeyburst) is 2 pounds lighter.

Classic look!
I ordered a wood grain from WD and they asked me to send them the original black guard along with the paperwork so they could make a template because of the extra knob. I want to say about 2 weeks and it looks great. Easy people to work with. FWIW 10.4lbs

Let me make sure I understand - the piezo pickups in the bridge act as a dummy coil?
No. The "dummy coil" is underneath the humbucker. The Piezo is separate.
Help me understand dummy coils in MM style pickups.
"There is a completely different type of pickup, called a piezoelectric pickup, which is pressure sensitive and generates an electric signal using vibrations. Piezo pickups are much more sensitive with a broader dynamic range and output a more acoustic-like sound."

Is there a way to tell if your pickup is Alnico or Ceramic by just looking at it? I have a 2008 SR5, not sure which month it was made...
Thanks! One was made in January of 2008, the other Feb. of 2009. I guess I have both Alnico and Ceramic, although the pickups look identical (besides the color).
