Back when I picked up my SR5H in 2008, I wanted to swap pickguards from the black with black hardware that came stock with the bass to white - including changing the knobs from black to silver, and changing the pickup selector switch to white to match.

I ended up sending an email to: [email protected] to get the ball rolling and was eventually directed to give a call to: 866-823-2255 if it's still the number. Ernie Ball took excellent care of me, and sent me the whole set for what I remember to be a very reasonable price (though I don't remember the exact amount).

They shipped out all the parts to me immediately, and within the standard 5-8 shipping days I had them in my hands, and had my StingRay looking exactly as I wanted it!

I should probably get a back up set of stings for my new Stingray 5. What's your favorite round wound?

I use the EB Slinky Cobalts. I get a nice snappy punchy bitey sound from them that I love so much. 45-65-80-100-130 sets #2736
They seem to suit my bass nicely although I have been a Rotosound man for many many years since the 70's, but the EB Cobalts suit my bass nicely as a punchy roundwound string.
I have used the Rotos on this bass before and I do love them as well, so its good to have the choice of the 2 brands as I can get the Roto's a bit cheaper here. Rotosounds are stainless steel roundwounds RS665LD Swing Bass 66 (45-65-80-105-130)
In my opinion you cant go wrong with either set...the EB Slinky Cobalts or the Roto Swing Bass 66. Its a player preference which ones you will like.
Bass strings are definately something that requires a bit of testing and once you find the make, gauge, and type that you like i'm sure you'll never change for a different brand. Ive tried many brands and types over the years and those two ive recommended are my personal favs..they may not be yours till you try maybe. Good luck.
