Music Store visit

Hello guy, Got a quick story to share...

Today i went to visit my local music store to find myself a nice Fender US Deluxe P Bass, I enter the store and try a couple out, I fall in love.. one downside... Not in the colour i wish. SO the guy leads me over to the counter to see if they can order one in and right in-front of me stood a Squier VM P Bass.

I think How bad can it be? So go over and plug it in..

To my disbelief it plays better than the USA's I had just tried.. I ask the price and he asks £150! I was gob smacked.. So here she is...

the SQUIER FOR HIRE gang is on the way as soon as the scent of fresh meat reaches their snots,... oops, i meant SNOUTS!!!

honestly though,
i actually played the CV pbass @ GC two days ago and it played great. but to suggest it will out-perform a well set-up MIA is ludicris. either way, Fender doesn't care if you buy a Squier. i'm sure they smile every time someone compares a VM to the real issue. that way the MSRP will slowly inch upward as popularity increases.

Squier by Fender = WIN

I was recently to several guitar stores to try amps.

Since I usually play a jazz, I grabbed whatever jazz was most convenient and ended up playing a MIM, a USA, and a SCV.

Out of the three, the Classic Vibe played the best. It was a very impressive instrument to say the least.

However, the CV was setup better than the Fenders which both had rather high action and the pup's weren't really adjusted well. It wasn't so much the quality of the instruments that I was perceiving as much as the differences in setup.

As such, I couldn't really tell much difference between the MIM and the MIA. I think the differences would have been much more noticable after good setups of each bass.
