Not a store per se, but if you have time while you're in SF, try to get a tour of Alembic in San Jose. Email Mica Wickersham at [email protected] and let her know you're considering coming through. She and the family will take good care of you. For the record I've never been there, but everybody I know who has really enjoyed it. And they allow you to play with the toys.

Brian's talking to me about his line of basses which seem so cool and their not priced crazily! He told me 1000-1800USD.

He told me he'd direct me to the salesguy who could help and stuff. Nice guy.

Now I'm really considering Carvin! I went to their website and took a look and they look really good! Brian Bromberg himself got me to take a look at his line of basses and they look really great and sound super as well. The best thing is that these basses can be customized and it won't even hit $2K! (USD)

Thanks! Wow, Alembic! I'll never be able to afford one of those, but hey, wouldn't hurt to check it out right? :P

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but their huge showroom closed down a few years ago, sadly. I have to say that it was the most awesome music store I'd seen. They had so many different brands compared to Guitar Center or Sam Ash it was silly. They are now a custom shop only about ten miles outside of Vegas. Still cool from what I hear but no football field sized showroom.

I would go to Los Angeles if Vegas is doable(3/12 hour drive from Vegas). Way better selection than in S.F.

Oh well.. Thanks for being the bearer anyway! Wouldn't want to find out only after I've arrived in Vegas!

What do ya'll think of the Carvin B25 (Brian Bromberg Sig)?

Those Bromberg basses look like a real fine instrument with so many options to choose from like the deep triple-step finish. Looks like around $1350 plus for a pretty nice bass. I don't have much of anything on my GAS list, but this is one.

You got that right! Brian said that their like a huge custom shop and he seems really happy and proud of these Carvin basses. He should be!

Also, for a customised bass for 2K is a really good pricing I'd say. (For students like me who can't afford themselves a Fodera!) They will also ship the bass to you. Cool stuff.

I'd be really glad if anyone has any opinions on the low B on this B25 series!
