The type of music that soothes me the most is a genre that goes by the tag "New Age Ambient", or sometimes "Electro-ambient-space". Essentially it's the same type of stuff you'd hear while getting a massage.

I really love artists like Anaguma, Deep Chill Network, and Steve Roach. Calms me down every time.
