Musical Theater Gigs and 6-string

I just finished up playing Pippin on my Ibby Volo, strung E-c. The C string was very helpful for this book, and the Volo has a 33" scale, which is helpful for reading. I played the notes below E an octave up. I am wondering if it would be worth using a 6-string, and if so would another Ibby be suitable?

I usually use a 6 string electric on shows but recently switched back to my 5 (for Mrs.Doubtfire)

After playing a seven string, I have no interest in six strings any more. Why settle for six when I can have seven?
