Absolutely. If I didn't want to do this, there's no way I would do some of the things I do to make it happen. And, I still can't slap worth a hill of beans. Granted, I haven't felt the need to learn how to slap a bass guitar, so there's that. I can slap the upright, but that's a completely different technique.
