After a six month wait, I'm in the club! Here's my brand spankin' new BA5. I love the feel and tonal variety of this thing and can't believe how good it sounds in passive mode. The new tuners are top notch and color much better in person. Great job EBMM!

Is your guard Vintage or Regular white, it looks Vintage in your pic. I have a Vintage on on order for my SSS that's taking too long.

Thank you. The pickups are hot and very full. It is far the best sounding 5 stringer I've ever played.
Sorry about the pic, it was taken on poor lighting using a camera phone. The guard is white. I debated about going vintage but I really like the contrast of the white guard to the black knobs and buttons. Funny story, it actually took me longer to pick out the color and pickguard on the BA than it did to spec out my custom shop Fender. If Big Pappa offered it in black cherry burst, it would have made decision a lot easier.
How long have you waited on the vintage guard?
Can I join the club?
Great look with the Tort guard, makes it a futuristic classic!
Here's a question for you guys. I've noticed on mine that I get a good amount of noise when in active mode, mid-high EQ is boosted (doesn't matter what pickup combination is selected) and the amp horn is turned on. With the horn turned off, the bass is dead quiet. Any ideas on what would cause this?
The amps used were a Fender Bassman 250 2x10, Bassman 100 1x10 and a Hartke HyDrive 210C.
Do changes in proximity to your cabs cause changes in the noise levels?
