Red Alert BA clubbers.
I am regretfully letting go of my next to new White Pearl and maple Big Al with matching HS.

My last Big Al just sold.
So now that I am BA - less...
Not sure how ya work it?
Do I give back the club number and it passes onto another player at some point?
Or do I just sit on it figuring I might grab another BA sometime in the near future?

At some point might consider ordering a Tangerine pearl Big Al with matching HS and no pick guard if possible.........SSS 4 config.
IF they would just make it so ya could order an ebony board on Big Al's, that would be a big incentive for me to order a new one.

Been holding out hoping to locate a minty used True Gold or Desert Gold B.A. somewhere in cyber space :)

No problem. I have 4 bid Al's 3 of them are very limited.
Dargies 2 SSS a gift to me from Sterling Ball and the EBMM web forum.
Aqua Purple H 1 of an estimated 20 made for Guitar Center booths at Trade Shows
And Roadted Black Sugar SSS 1 of 2 that I know to exist,
All 4 strings and all amazing all the time. I just don't love the finish on the back of the roasted neck.

But the one that gets played is the Pearl White H , cause I'm not concerned about the irreplacability should it get damaged or stolen.
Big ALS forever.

To begin with: i LOVE my Big Al (4, SSS)

I don´t know sales numbers but my guess is that the Big Al is one of the less popular basses Music Man (Ernie Ball) ever made (1. Stingray, 2. Sterling, 3. Bongo, 4. Big Al, 5. Reflex).

Most people hate the body shape and some people don´t like the "cockpit" (4 PU switches and some double stacked pots). Most of the Big Al "haters" judge the book by its cover i guess.

I think the resale value of the Big Al will increase in the coming years because people will find out later how great the Big Al is!?

I really love the look of the big al.
It is not like anything else looks wise.
The "cockpit" controls are unique and different ( shared with the reflex).

I owned a HSS reflex and two Big Al's.
All are now gone sadly.

But ongoing GAS forced me to liquidate them and try other basses.
I hope to be lucky enough to get another Big Al sometime in the somewhat near future.

the Big Al and Bongo are polarizing because, gee they don't look like a J or P bass. heresy!

try either one of the on for a while, and you are amazed at how comfortable and ergonomic they both are.

then there are tones that you can't get elsewhere in the EBMM universe.

put that all together, that's why I own a Bongo, and soon another Big Al.

Well said G!
I went from one Bongo and a two Big Al's, to now zero Big Al's and three Bongos. ( Selling the Lava Pearl Bongo when the BFR lands next week )
I know I will never find another Reflex like the white and black one I had. But hope to pick up another Big Al in either olive gold or true gold in the near future.
