Musicman, ESP/LTD, upgrades, electronics, etc...

I need help! Here's the thing... I've got a nice EBMM Musicman, I play it a lot and I love it (I'll get to that later).

I also have an ESP LTD F404FM, which I really like to LOOKS of.... I'd like to play it occasionally but...

...it makes a lot of noise, especially when I use distortion - massive feedback. It also gets a ground loop or something in it's electronics. When I touch the volume/etc. pots it quits.

When I play this song - [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
the noise is unbearable.

Any ideas on what to do with the guitar? I'll spend money. Should I get it worked on? Are the onboard EMG DCs and 64 preamp no good? Are the EBMM electronics just superior to the EMGs? Should I buy something else? I dunno... So many questions... please help.

PS. I am fully aware the easiest answer is to keep playing the EBMM. Believe me I do play it - a lot. As I said though, I'd like to occasionally play the other one.
