Hmm, $2100 is their price for the 5 model with only a humbucker. I like the model with humbucker & 2 single coils.
They're sill priced below the 25th Anniversary models, but if that's how much a 5H runs then I'm afraid to see how much a 5HSS will hurt.
Love that guitar shape, on a guitar, but even though there might not be neck dive, the reach to the 1st to 3rd position is uncomfortable. Useless. But pretty. Same as a G&L ASAT, or a Warwick Thumb.
I guess Thunderbirds should be very well known for being nigh unplayable then. But that is not the case.

I like the two humbucker setup because the bridge pickup is in the famed MM, "sweet spot", single H location. The idea is, to me, that it is an EBMM and then some. The pickup on the HSS is closer to the bridge, which is probably unavoidable on a bass with 3 pickups, but still not my preference for an EBMM bass. Of course, the bridge H on my Bongo is also closer to the bridge, so what do I know? 
I'm a little disappointed in the price point. The Reflex 5 HH bass is probably my dream EBMM bass...a combo of the Sterling and the Bongo with a cool (IMO) style. Looks like I'll be saving for a while.

+1 on the price point, over $2K, yeah, I was disappointed. And will be a while before you see any used ones on the market. Will take a while saving your nickels.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Perhaps with the EQ/pre and wood configuration you'll still be able to get the "normal" humbucker position sound, or at least pretty dang close. Still, I wanted one EBMM HH and a HS(S) so if the sound is too altered I would gladly settle on a Reflex HH and just get a Sterling HS instead. This may also be the case if the HSS ends up being noticeably more expensive than the HH.
Of course I'm still dreaming, since I'm dirt poor and will be for a while. Woo grad school....
For the most part; there's no figured top, birdseye neck, or premium finish so it's a bit cheaper than the anniversary models.
